Weddings are a big day for our brides! They have been planning this day since they can remember. When we have couples come in, the brides already know exactly what they want and the men just sit back and take it all in. The women take charge in the wedding world (:
The grooms may not know a thing about color combinations, or floral arrangements, however, we can’t forget about the groom as it is his day as well! We wanted to know what the men did on the day of the wedding and prior to the big day!
I am sure you have seen that groomsmen picture where the men rip open their jackets and they are wearing superhero t-shirts under their tux’s. We thought this was funny so we wanted to learn more about the grooms point of view of the wedding and what they do.
Groomsmen: The groom has to pick his groomsmen and best man as well. Sometimes picking the best man can be easier said than done. Most grooms pick someone who they’ve been friends with for the longest. Others choose their brothers or choose their best girl-friend! Your groomsmen don’t all have to be guys!
Wedding Gift: The groom needs to purchase a sentimental gift for his soon-to-be wife that he gives to her either the day before the wedding or the day of the wedding. This is where the groom needs his back-up in making sure he picks out the perfect gift. We know the groom has spent a lot of money on the wedding already, however, men, do not go cheap on this gift; make sure it is something special as your finance has dreamt of this day for years!
Groomsmen Gifts: It is not just bridesmaids who receive gifts! Grooms, need to give their groomsmen gifts as well saying “thank you”. Some ideas for gifts are flasks, money clips, wallets, cuffs for their tux, personalized key mugs, customized photo footballs,
Attire: You can add a little surprise to your attire by adding the superman shirts underneath your tux, or have fancy socks on. They can be in a funky color, pattern, or have the date of the wedding on them. In addition, we have some grooms do custom cuffs with either the superheroes, their initials, or the wedding date on them. Another idea are superhero boxers or custom boxers.
Day of Wedding Events: Everyone always wonders what the groom and groomsmen do while the bride and bridesmaids are getting ready for the big day. As a groom, take your groomsmen to go play a short round of golf or take them out to brunch. Another option, is to go get facials and grab some drinks. It is okay to for men to get facials, we aren’t judging! (:
The groom has a lot to do leading up to the wedding along with making his fiancé happy (: We hope this is helpful to all the grooms out there who are lost in the wedding world.
Honeymoon: Grooms, don’t forget to plan your honeymoon! Get custom boxers to wear the first night, or customize shirts for the two of you to wear on the plane or something! Girls love that stuff! Find a spot where the two of you have always wanted to go or take a week long cruise! Make sure you start planning your honeymoon early and don’t wait till the last minute! As your wedding day gets closer it gets more hectic! Plan early men!
