Linens. They can make or break your wedding. There are so many options out there that you can choose from. Brides get overwhelmed when they come into our venue and look at the binder filled of linens that we have to offer. Some don’t realize it or tend to think about the fact that linens can really bring your wedding together.
Here are the 5 ways to work the linen game and give your tables the “Wow” factor!
1. Overlays
Overlays can add a special touch to your wedding decor. Some couples just have the overlay on their sweetheart table and cake table to make those 2 tables stand out from the rest. You can do the overlay in any type of linen your heart desires. You can do a solid overlay, a sheer overlay, lace overlay and more! There are unlimited variations.
2. Runners
Runners can be pretty if you want to add just a hint of color to your tables to match your center pieces. We have had a couple weddings where the couple only had a runner on their table and not the rest. Runners aren’t as popular as overlays but they are very simple and adds a touch of extra color to your tables.
3. Keeping it Simple
Sometimes Simple is Better. That is true. Keeping you table decor simple is always more elegant to the eye. You can either do a simple linen and do more of a centerpiece or add an overlay to your tables and keep your centerpieces simple. Centerpieces can range from $50-$300 per centerpiece. Therefore, we always tell our couples who are trying to save money that its cheaper to upgrade your linens and keep your center pieces simple.
4. Chair Ties
At Hollywood Venue we have Safari Chairs. Not many couples come into the venue wanting to cover the chairs. However, we do have some who want to cover them. Chair covers are expensive and sometimes don’t look good. We recommend to our couples who want to cover them to do a chair tie around the back of the chair to dress the chairs up. They are much cheaper and more elegant looking than covering the whole chair. If you are to hold your wedding at a hotel or another venue, the chairs they give you are just the standard chairs that you see in hotel conferences and those chairs need to be covered.
5. Getting Creative
Your linens can be anything you want. We have linens with flames on them, dollar bills, animal print and more. Getting Creative with your linens can be fun and make your wedding interesting. We had one wedding where they were doing breakfast for dinner and had the red and white checkered linens to bring in the theme.
In addition, we have had couples come in who are huge Tampa Bay Lighting Fans and want to match their colors to their favorite teams. We also have couples who meet at a University and come in and match their linens to the University’s colors.
At Hollywood Venue you have the opportunity to do every table in a different color or do every napkin in a different color. We have had couples want the colors of the rainbow. So they would do a neutral linen with each napkin in a different colors.
Lastly, we have one couple who recently just booked with us who are huge fans of comics and they are doing one table that resembles star wars, one table that resembles captain america and so on! This is a cute idea because it resembles the couple and who they are.
